Building conservation
Newmans Building Conservation Ltd is a company specialising in the conservation and sympathetic restoration of historic buildings.
The Managing Director, Roland Newman is a qualified carpenter with an Honours Degree in Construction Management, and a Post Graduate Diploma in The Conservation of Historic Buildings from Bath University. He has also attended technical courses arranged by the Society for the Protection of ancient Buildings, including a practical lime day.
We specialise
We specialise in historic buildings; and the traditional materials and trades included in every aspect of maintenance and alteration work, we also carry out many various works to a high standard on modern houses from extensions to refurbishments.
Complete service
We are able to provide the complete service. We will help design the project from the beginning and organise and arrange everything involved including: Listed Building Consent, Planning Applications and Structural calculations. We will also work from drawings provided independently by other professionals, architects or surveyors, or on your own instructions.
All aspects
We cover all aspects of work, from the basement or vaults up to the roof, including bespoke joinery, structural repairs, carpentry, decorating, qualified and registered plumbers and electricians, as well as the more traditional trades such as lime plastering, pointing and stonemasonry.
